to PEER-TO-PEER MARKETING |
- Identify a community. The people who are best at identifying strong
communities are those who are, or were once, part of it.
- Map the behaviour of the community. It is essential to understand
what’s driving it.
- Identify alternative distribution channels.
- Identify the leaders of the community. However, before this can
take place, it’s essential that you are thoroughly familiar with the
rules of the community you’re targeting.
- Build a peer-to-peer marketing program around the leaders.
- Place tweens in the centre, rather than the brand.
- Support the community with unique initiatives. Make people to whom
the audience can relate the spokesperson for the brand.
- Develop vital marketing tools enabling the tweens to market for you.
- Let the outside world know about the community’s success.
- Spread the brand to audiences outside the community. Successful peer-to-peer
marketing is all about building on a passion, appealing to a shared dream,
talking the language of the audience and making the audience do the work.
